We all
know that regular maintenance and a yearly MOT is vital to keep a car
running smoothly, yet most of us
overlook how important it is to care for our feet. Hidden
away in shoes, we don’t give them much thought. The good news is that it’s
neve r too late to start looking after your feet, and
there is a lot we can do to help keep you on a strong footing!
When you attend for your appointment the first time,
we do an *initial consultation / assessment which will include a foot health check- which focuses on visible
changes such as skin cancer, fungal infections, malignant melanomas, your
circulatory status, pulses and nerve functions as these can highlight the early
stages of diseases, and enables the Podiatrist to determine
the right treatment plan and or advice to be discussed with you
prior to treatment commencing on the day.
The fee for the
initial consultation with our Podiatrists is £40,
following this, *consultation
and or treatment usually starts from £45.
The Podiatrist will discuss any
further tests /consultations /referrals and or treatment tailored to your individual needs
so that you are completely happy to
proceed with your consultation and or treatment.
In some cases, after the
initial assessment, further tests may be required before a treatment plan can
be started or concluded. In either case, the Podiatrist will inform you of the
extra costs involved. First appointments, generally can last up to 40 minutes.
Sometimes due to a clients
individual needs and or complications arising from the consultation, not every
treatment required can be offered on the day. We also offer diabetic foot
assessment
as part of the first appointment for those who may be diabetic.
We ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes early for your appointment, and if you
are on medication for any allergies or medical conditions, please make a note of
these and bring them along with you.
Please contact the reception for any further
information you may require.
Please give 24 hours
notice if unable to attend as missed appointments will be charged for and
a 50% deposit will be
required for any subsequent appointment you may book.
*extra costs may be incurred. |
